Jimmy John's

If you haven't tried a Jimmy John's sandwich, I can honestly say that you are really missing out! If you have to drive an extra 15 minutes to get a Jimmy John's vs. a Subway... do it!! This place was introduced to me in Utah. I fell in love and actually studied up on the place. It all began back in 1983 when 19 year old Jimmy John Liautaud decided to start a sandwich shop. He read some recipes and found what people liked best and quickly became a very successful businessman.

One thing I admire about Jimmy John's is that they make sandwiches the correct way. By that I mean, they use the freshest bread. It's so soft I'd eat it alone, and you can! They sell the bread itself for $0.50! Aside from that, they also pit out the bread, meaning they dig out some of the insides to make room for the meats and cheeses while also stabilizing the sandwich to keep it from falling to pieces. I admire a sandwich shop that knows the proper way to build a sandwich!

I LOVE their Turkey Tom. The texture of the turkey is to die for as it practically melts in your mouth. Their other sandwiches are wonderful as well. I don't know if we've tried one we don't love actually.

Yes Jimmy John's is technically a fast food restaurant. Yes it's a chain but it is also the greatest sandwich you'll find! The service is phenomenal; very fast and friendly. They use high quality ingredients creating the most delectable sandwiches in Colorado.

South Philly Cheesesteaks

Last weeks adventures took us to South Philly Cheese steaks! I love a good cheese steak sandwich so I had been looking forward to this one!

When you first walk in you'll feel a hip, college style vibe. They have a flat screen LCD TV with sports playing and a video game in the corner. The workers are young and full of life too!

The menu is full of different types of cheese steak sandwiches. Of course if you find yourself in a place like this, we'd assume you'd be looking for... well... a cheese steak sandwich! However, they have chicken and other items on the menu. We all ordered the typical cheese steak sandwich combos. They came with fries and a drink!

The sandwich looked divine! The flavors were great, very steak-like. It did seem a little dry though. Good thing I got a drink! I love fries so I was pretty happy I got some but when I started eating them I was a bit disappointed. They were dry, flavorless and a bit over cooked  in my opinion.
So, if you find yourself in Park Hill, hungry for a some Philly steak sandwiches, you might want to try this place out! Just do yourself a favor and have them hold the chips. I mean fries.

Smiling Moose Deli

Yesterday my sister-in-law and I were out and about and well... we got hungry. Luckily we noticed a cute deli and thought we'd try it out! I wasn't in for a big amount of food so I only got a plain bagel toasted with butter. Rachelle ordered their half sandwich and soup. She selected the hot turkey club on rye bread. The soup she picked was a spicy chicken enchilada soup.

All of their food looked delicious! I wished I was hungry enough to order a whole meal! Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. The decor is fun. It is filled with great choices of breakfast sandwiches, soups, drinks.... You can even check out their menu on their website.
