Diegos

I had family in town a couple weeks ago. They were staying on 16th Street so we spent a day on 16th Street. I always dread going downtown but once I am there I always love the hustle & bustle and people watching.

We were freezing and hungry so we ran to the first restaurant that looked good. Diego's. I am always up for Mexican food!

We had two toddlers in strollers with us which made us difficult to seat I'm sure. Our waiter was excellent and patient with us non the less.

Since I had my toddler with me I thought the Nachos would be an easy dish to share with her. I am a sucker for loaded, cheesy nachos despite the guilt that follows eating them. Ours were topped with chicken, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and a creamy cheese sauce. They were so good but we couldn't finish them. It is an impressively large dish that I'd highly recommend.

My aunt ordered the vegetable fajita plate. It looked and smelled great! She said it was delicious too.

If you find yourself downtown with a craving for Mexican food I recommend giving this place a try. My favorite thing about Diego's was their salsa bar! I think more places need sauce or salsa bars!
